Transitional Kindergarten Aide Job Description
Job Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Full-time
Reports to: Principal
The Academy is seeking a qualified Transitional Kindergarten Aide who will help provide instruction and support for students in our transitional kindergarten class. The Transitional Kindergarten aide is integral to our transitional kindergarten program and we are looking for someone who sees themselves as educator and who are committed to closing the opportunity gap, serving a diverse student population, and collaborating deeply with all members of our school community.
Essential Duties
Supports students, individually or in groups, to assist with lesson assignments to reinforce learning concepts
Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to care for students, equipment, and materials
Assist in creating an environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity
Assist in providing small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to specific needs
