Job Summary
These positions are for our afterschool program. Shifts are 1:30pm-5:30pm, 1:45pm-5:45pm, or 2pm-6pm.
Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE:
- Graduation from high school or its equivalent
- Must have an AA degree or higher or at least 48 semester units of general education or meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate through an assessment, the knowledge and ability to assist instruction.
- One year experience working with children in an organized setting
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Knowledge of Federal, state, and local laws relating to school and student safety.
- Knowledge of behavior modification and conflict resolution strategies and techniques; policies, rules and regulations concerning appropriate student behavior typical playground games
- Knowledge of district and school emergency procedures including fire drills, earthquakes, intruder on campus and others; basic content taught in District schools; basic instructional methods
and techniques.
- Ability to assist with educational-based activities in the Expanded Learning environment. …
