Requirements / Qualifications

Must meet NCLB/ESSA requirements for paraprofessionals working in Title I Schools to include:

• Graduation from High School or equivalent, and two years of college (48) units, OR
• Associates degree (or higher), OR
• Pass a local assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction

Additional Requirements:

• Fluency in Spanish & English (reading, writing, and speaking) required
• Punctuality and regular attendance
• One year of experience working with elementary, middle or high school students in an organized setting required
• Child development or education course work and associate’s degree in education or related field preferred OR
