Job Summary
We are currently hiring for part-time positions as well as Substitute, on- call positions.
Nutrition Services Assistants perform basic food preparation and routine duties in support of Nutrition Services, including preparation of serving areas at school sites, serving food, cashiering, cleaning and sanitizing of serving areas and related equipment; performs related duties as assigned.
Job Description / Essential Elements
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
Assist with basic hot and cold food preparation and serve food according to established procedures; heat, package and wrap food items according to established portion control standards. E
Setup service area; set out prepared food and beverages for sale and distribution; count and setup plates, trays, utensils and other related items; stock condiments, paper goods and supplies, as needed. E
Observe quality and quantity of food served according to established procedures; assist in ensuring activities comply with established federal, state and District health, safety and sanitation rules, regulations and procedures; assist in ensuring proper temperature of foods at all times. …
