Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Superintendent/Principal or designee, a special education behavior support instructional assistant (Level 2) will assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction and necessary support to individual students or small groups of students with moderate to severe special needs. Individuals will assist children in meeting the goals and objectives of their Individualized Education Plan (IEP), attend to students' physical and health needs, and monitor and report on students' progress in educational performance. A Behavior Support instructional assistant will also perform a variety of clerical and supportive duties related to classroom activities, including collecting data as directed and classroom management.
Requirements / Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. An Associate of Arts (AA) degree or higher is preferred.
