As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work alongside credentialed teachers and an interdisciplinary team to help students strengthen academic, communication, behavioral, social, and daily living skills.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is patient, dependable, encouraging, and ready to be an active part of each student's educational journey.
What You'll Do
- Support instruction in academic, communication, functional, social, and specialized subject areas.
- Reinforce lessons, answer questions, monitor student work, and follow classroom procedures under the direction of certificated staff.
- Work with students individually and in groups across classroom, recreational, vocational, and community-based settings.
- Help students build independence with eating, dressing, toileting, personal hygiene, and other daily living skills.
- Implement behavior-support and crisis-prevention procedures, including Pro-ACT strategies, as trained. …
