Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
-Attend trainings to learn targeted strategies to support students with behavioral,social emotional and academic needs that are impeding learning.
-Take initiative – be able to function with limited supervision.
-Attend trainings to become proficient in offering content (math and reading) to support students.
-Provide intervention in reading and/or math.
-Ability to supervise a group alone.

• Lead small groups.
• Instructional methods and techniques.
• Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.
• Operation of standard office and classroom equipment.
• Basic record keeping and report preparation techniques.
• Classroom management.

Ability to:

• Assist with instruction related activities in an assigned learning environment.
• Academic and behavioral interventions to support high quality instruction for all students and to meet student’s individual needs.
• Perform basic clerical duties.
• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships.
