Imaging Equipment Technician II

Major Responsibilities:

• Analyzes, troubleshoots and repairs highly complex diagnostic and therapeutic imaging equipment and systems utilizing established electronic test and measurement equipment and techniques. Installs, calibrates and tests highly complex new imaging equipment and/or systems.
• Responsibilities may include work on a mix of Biomedical and Diagnostic Imaging equipment, but majority of work will be related to complex Diagnostic Imaging equipment.
• Performs any required general service on imaging equipment and systems, in accordance with corporate and department procedures, manufacturers recommendations, physicists’ specifications and/or other applicable codes, standards, accreditation requirements, and state and federal regulations as applicable regarding radiographic and diagnostic imaging equipment.
• Interacts with clinical staff on a regular basis to ensure needs are being met.
• Provides technical support and assistance to imaging staff in their use of highly complex diagnostic and therapeutic Imaging devices.
• Acts as a technical resource for Biomedical Technicians and Imaging Technicians to help them grow in ability, responsibility, and experience. …
