Job Summary
Chico Unified School District is currently recruiting substitutes for the following classifications:
- Cafeteria Assistant
- Delivery Worker
- Custodian
- Licensed Vocational Nurse
Positions have varying shifts and schedules, Monday through Friday.
Requirements / Qualifications
All substitutes are required to complete the following prior to working:
- LiveScan (fingerprint) clearance
- Tuberculosis (TB) clearance
- Keenan SafeSchools mandated training modules
- New hire paperwork (I-9, W-4, etc.), along with two valid forms of identification
Additional requirements may include*:
- Passing a District Competency Test or meeting No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements
- Possession of a valid California driver’s license and a safe driving record
- Proof of current automobile insurance
- Current CPR and/or First Aid certification
- Commercial Driver’s License, School Bus Driver Certification & DMV Medical Examiner’s Certificate (for transportation roles)
