SUBSTITUTE: Special Education Instructional Aide

Job Summary

Under general supervision, to perform a variety of instructional support duties involved in providing instructional assistance to individuals or small groups of students who qualify for special education programs full inclusion classrooms to help provide site-based special education services in all academic areas necessary to help the IEP team meet the goals and objectives of each pupil’s Individual Education Plan. Will also help to coordinate activities, materials and methods to meet individual student needs and enhance pupil strength. Will further maintain accurate pupil session notes and will communicate with special education team and parent daily. Will provide help with homework and other clerical duties as assigned. Instructional Aide will provide support for students with special needs in the classroom environment and support the Special Day Class teachers, General Education team and/or Speech & Language Pathologist, occupational therapist, school nurse, and uphold the core values of the Chowchilla Union High School District. …
