Substitute Custodian

Requirements / Qualifications

A standard of employment for a substitute custodian is the ability to be reliable in attendance, punctuality, and follow through. Grounds for termination as a substitute custodian include, but are not limited to, two cancellations of previously accepted assignments less than 24 hours prior to the start of the assignment, and/or failure to accept an assignment within a six month period.

A substitute employee regardless of whether hired for day-to-day work or long-term temporary assignment - is an "at will" employee with no employment "rights" with the District other than pay for service rendered.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate must subscribe to an Oath of Allegiance, submit to a general tuberculosis examination, be fingerprinted, complete a pre-placement physical examination, and show proof of their identity and right to work in the United States as conditions of employment.
