Job Summary
The Color Guard Coach works closely with the Band Director to create, teach, and rehearse routines for the color guard, contributing to the overall visual impact of the marching band. This role includes choreography, equipment handling, and student mentorship, creating a positive and supportive environment for skill and personal development.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalency.
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, in Music Arts or related field.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Music Arts or related field (preferred)
EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years of experience teaching music to students in elementary, middle, or high school settings and the ability to implement California Arts Standards for Music.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
First Aid and CPR Certificate
Proof of required education certificates
Valid California Driver’s License or ID
Note: valid, unexpired certificates are required prior to first day of work
