Job Description / Essential Elements
CAMPUS SUPERVISION AIDE
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under supervision, assist administration in monitoring student and non-student behavior; encourage proper behavior on campus; and perform related duties as required.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Observe and control student behavior in non-classroom activities before, during and after school hours;
2. Patrol campus grounds, parking lots, restrooms, etc.;
3. Instruct students and non-students in proper and lawful behavior;
4. Assist in the monitoring of non-students on campus to prevent loitering;
5. Report incidents, such as smoking, drinking, or drug usage to the campus administration;
6. Write reports for District and law enforcement agencies;
7. Make recommendations to administration regarding campus security as appropriate;
8. Report suspects committing, or attempting to commit, crimes on campus premises;
9. Detain and deliver students and non-students to administration as authorized; and
10. Assist administrator in supervising the overall conduct of students as assigned;
