JOB TITLE: INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT
GENERAL/NON-BILINGUAL RSP
(includes LSH assignments)
JOB SUMMARY:
Under general direction, provide a variety of classroom or one-to-one instructional activities in a general education or special education setting, including preparing educational materials, tutoring, and conducting intensified learning experiences. Receive supervision from the school administrator(s) and/or designee within a framework of standard policies and procedures. Perform a variety of clerical and supportive tasks; make routine decisions within the established policies and procedures of the classroom, school and district.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists instructional personnel in planning a course of action and lesson plans.
Tutors individual and small groups of students to reinforce and follow up on specific learning activities.
Supervises individual students or small groups of students in practice activities such as mathematics, spelling, computers, language and other programs as requested. …
