Job Summary
DEFINITION
Under direction from an assigned supervisor, assists, supports and guides students who are
severely handicapped with classroom lessons, instructional exercises and a variety of personal
hygiene and caretaking tasks; communicates and collaborates with classroom teachers in
prescribed learning strategies, tutorial tools and activity plans; provides first-aid and administers
prescribed medication; prepares and presents exercise sheets, and a variety of records, reports and
files; performs related work as required.
Requirements / Qualifications
REQUIRED LICENSES and CERTIFICATES
Some positions may require possession of a valid California driver's license.
Possession of a valid Red Cross Standard First Aid certificate.
Possession of a valid Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate.
