Job Summary
The Pegasus School is seeking Substitute Teacher Assistants to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. Substitute Teacher Assistants provide important classroom and student supervision support across grades 1–8 and help ensure continuity when regular team members are absent. Hours vary by assignment and typically range from 6.5 to 7.5 hours per day. See Job Description for more details.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with school-age children in a school, camp, childcare, recreation, tutoring, or similar setting.
Ability to follow teacher direction and established classroom routines while adapting to different classrooms, grade levels, and assignments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with students, employees, and families.
Ability to actively supervise groups of students and maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
Dependability, punctuality, flexibility, and the ability to respond calmly and appropriately to changing situations. …
