Host/Hostess:
Set schedule- 4pm to 8pm. Rotating weekends and holidays.
Pay Range:
$18.85 - $28.30
Major Responsibilities:
Ensures physician’s diet orders are met by maintaining current and accurate patient card files and following specific standards for diet compliance.
1)Processing Diet Orders • Follows physician’s diet orders for all patients • Updates and maintains accurate patient card files in automated diet office. • Adheres to specific standards for diets when entering selections into computer or in modifying and checking menus. • Updates and maintains nourishment orders to ensure diet orders are met.
Utilizes CBORD and Care Connection to achieve meal selection, process diet orders and changes.
1)Communication: • Assists patients with room service when appropriate for all assigned patients/units • Communicates effectively when assisting patients and/or family with menu selections • Communicates between nursing, room service operators and kitchen staff in order to clarify orders and provide prompt service. • Communicates special patient needs to dietitians
2)CBORD (computer) use: • Seeks new training/knowledge of CBORD. • Utilizes manuals and technical support. …
