Job Summary
SOUTH BAY UNION SCHOOL DISTRICT CLASSIFIED JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: The job of Substitute Instructional Assistant is done for the purpose/s of assisting (under direct supervision) in the supervision and instruction of General Ed and Special Ed. students, and relieving teachers of routine clerical tasks. A Substitute Instructional Assistant reports directly to the site principal.

Job Requirements - Qualifications:
Education Required High School diploma or equivalent.
PASSED proficiency exam or 48 + Units (waives proficiency exam)
use English in both written and verbal form
Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required:
Skills to perform basic clerical functions, perform basic arithmetic calculations, operate standard office
equipment, use English in verbal and written form, use correct grammar, punctuation and spelling.
