Description
Position Summary:
Teacher Assistants play an integral role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students in the Lower School. Assigned to either the primary grades (K–2) or upper elementary grades (3–5), they work under the direction of the Lower School Division Head and in partnership with lead teachers. Teacher Assistants contribute meaningfully to classroom instruction, student supervision, and the overall learning environment. They are active members of the school community and participate in faculty meetings, professional learning, school events, and other key functions of school life.
Instructional Support
Assist in delivering high-quality whole-group, small-group, and individualized instruction in core academic areas, including literacy and mathematics
Implement teacher-designed lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments
Administer and support the use of assessment tools to monitor student growth and inform instruction
Provide academic interventions and targeted support to help students meet or exceed grade-level benchmarks
