KINGSBURG ELEMENTARY CHARTER SCHOOL DISTRICT
PARAPROFESSIONAL
Primary Function:
Assists in the instruction and supervision of students in the classroom and on the playground, and assists teachers in the routine clerical and management duties and performs such other duties as are consistent with special state and federal programs and the Governing Board.
Directly Responsible:
Site Principal and classroom teacher.
Assigned Responsibilities:
- Provides direct services to participating students or provides services for teachers in order to allow teachers time to provide additional assistance to participants.
- Prepare materials.
- Listen to and drill individual or small groups of students in reading, language, mathematics and other subjects according to instructions and guidance from a teacher.
- Perform routine paperwork such as record keeping, correcting and filing papers.
- Set up and arrange supplies and equipment in the classroom for student use.
- Prepare labels, charts, bulletin boards as instructed.
- Operate office equipment (i.e. keyboarding, office machines, audio-visual equipment). …
