Custodian (Night Shift)

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Facilities and/or the school site administrator(s), with direction from the Lead Custodian, the Custodian keeps assigned building areas clean, sanitary, safe and orderly; periodically does special cleaning and building maintenance; and performs other related duties and responsibilities as required. The incumbent in this class may also be asked to assist and support other members of the Maintenance Division in the completion of their assigned duties. This position will be stationed at an elementary school site. Interview candidates may be asked about the possibility of serving in a substitute custodian position if the vacant position is filled.

Requirements / Qualifications

Qualifications:
1. Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
2. Experience: Two years or equivalent experience in cleaning and maintaining building areas, preferably in a school setting; and/or any combination of related training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Basic computer knowledge.
