Job Summary
THIS POSITION IS DUAL CERTIFICATION AND IS OPEN TO BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CANDIDATES
SUBSTITUTE POSITIONS ARE ON CALL / AS NEEDED
Hours: On Call, 8 Hours/Day (Monday-Friday Split Shift - 6:00A-8:30A, 10:30A-4:30P)
Eligibility Lists: One list will be created from Open Competitive and Promotional candidates
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Director of Facilities, Development, and Transportation and/or an assigned lead, operate a school bus, transport students, and perform daily safety inspection of bus equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Any combination, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and functions, listed above.
Experience:
One (1) year of experience in the operation of a motor vehicle.
Language Requirements:
None
Licenses and Certifications:
A valid California commercial driver's license, class A or class B, with Passenger, School Bus and Air Brake endorsements.
Must be a Type 1 Transit Driver.
A valid Special School Bus Driver's Certificate.
A valid Medical Examiner Certificate approved by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Valid Pediatric First Aid and CPR certificates. …
