Position Highlights:
- Shift Schedule: Full-Time; 40 hours, Nights, Tuesday-Friday 9pm-7am
- Department: Laboratory
- Location: Lexington Medical Center
Education & Experience:
- Associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Lab Technician preferred.
Licensure, Certification and/or Registrations:
- MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification required.
- Successful completion of a NAACLS approved Medical Technician program preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of patient laboratory test results. Performs procedures efficiently and as indicated in the procedure manual with minimal supervision and within the required turn-around time without compromising quality. Responds to STATs immediately. Follows workflow processes according to documented procedures. Documents and communications are reviewed in a timely manner and are appropriately referenced and applied.
