INSTRUCTIONAL AIDE I

DEFINITION

Under general supervision of the Site Administrator, to perform a variety of supportive instructional activities, as well as behavior management, for students with an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP); and to do other related work as required.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

1. Assists instructional personnel with the presentation of learning materials;
2. Provides academic and/or social instructional assistance to individuals and/or small groups of students in accordance with IEP’s and/or Behavior Support Plans;
3. Monitors and assists students in independent practice and as a follow up to the presentation of concepts by instructional personnel;
4. Assists in the shaping of appropriate social behaviors;
5. Assists in the management of student behavior in accordance with the IEP;
