Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, the Student Monitor oversees student
activities and behavior at all school events and activities.
32 hours per week. Schedule varies based on student program and activity needs. Some Saturdays required. Santa Clarita and Antelope Valley areas only. Benefits eligible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and maintain a safe and secure environment for students during
school events, activities, and sporting events
- Supervise student conduct during school events, activities, sporting events and
transportation (e.g., buses, walking routes, or other approved means)
- Follow established emergency procedures, including evacuation, lockdown, and medical
response protocols; provide basic first aid and report all student injuries to the Director
of Regional Services
- Monitor and control access to students by non-school individuals and ensure proper
student release procedures, including verification of authorized pick-up when applicable
- Provide guidance, support, and assistance to students, including those experiencing
difficulties or navigating unfamiliar environments
