Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance and Operations, perform routine ground maintenance, perform routine custodial maintenance to provide a healthy, safe and attractive physical environment for students and staff.
Duties and responsibilities change from day to day, and the maintenance team has a dynamic workflow. However, a substitute custodian may be required to
- Perform a variety of general grounds maintenance work, such as mowing and watering lawns, week terrain, sweep walks and parking areas, pick up trash, rake leaves, trim trees/foliage.
- Operate power mowers, sprayers, edgers, trimmers, and other hand tools and ground equipment
- Maintain running and walking tracks including weeding, leveling, dragging and dressing as needed.
- Minor painting and caulking.
- Inspect and repair playground equipment including replenishment of park and sand as required.
- Clean assigned classrooms, offices, hallways, workrooms, eating areas, locker rooms, common use areas and all other district rooms. …
