Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Food Service Manager, Cooks Assistant, or Site Administrator, help prepare and package meals. Drive the meal delivery van to the schools and serve the meals to the students. Supervise the student help. Clean all kitchen equipment and maintain the kitchen in a sanitary condition. Keep the food storage area and the garbage area clean.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Help prepare the meals under the supervision of the Food Service Manager or Cooks Assistant, such as washing and cutting vegetables, slicing tomatoes, peeling potatoes, etc. Wash the thermal bags after each use, drive the delivery van to the schools and serve the meals to the students; supervise the students who assist you in serving; clean the van after each delivery; wash all sink and counter areas; clean stove, ovens and grill; keep food storage areas clean; clean all kitchen equipment; keep garbage area clean and garbage cans covered; wash floors; maintain records as required by State and District. …
