Summary
The Medical Assistant (MA) functions within the administration pre-defined scope of practice guidelines per state location of practice.
The Medical Assistant - Apprentice works under the direction of a Medical Assistant mentor for on-the-job training to provide basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients’ care, comfort, and safety. The Medical Assistant - Apprentice performs in a manner consistent with the health system's mission, policies, and initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
