Job Description / Essential Elements
Title and Classification: Yard Duty Aide
Supervisor: Site Administrator
Terms of Employment: 10 months/year
Salary Range: Classified Salary Schedule –Range 105
BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the supervision of the Site Administrator or designee, supervises playground and other areas as assigned. Encourages student activities that contribute toward the health and safety of the students while on the school playground, before school, recess, and during lunch period; and performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Be conscious of and working toward health and safety of the students on the playground.
• Be understanding, yet firm and consistent.
• Maintain discipline and carry out school policy concerning disciplinary measures.
• Have basic understanding of children’s needs.
• Have the knowledge and ability to appreciate people.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
