DEFINITION
Under general supervision, performs a wide range of grounds maintenance and related duties including mowing, sweeping, trenching, planting, weeding, irrigating, and pruning; installs and maintains irrigation systems; applies herbicides and pesticides; operates a variety of light and heavy-duty grounds maintenance equipment; and performs related work as assigned.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
This is the full working level class of the Grounds Maintenance Series within the Yosemite Community College District (YCCD). Incumbents in this class perform journey-level grounds maintenance, gardening and related duties in order to ensure that landscaped and naturalized areas are both attractive and functional. …
