Substitute Instructional Paraprofessional, Head Start/ Preschool

Requirements / Qualifications

Six (6) months experience working with preschool age students; Depending on the position requirement may vary.
Head Start- Twelve (12) units of Child Development OR Early Childhood Education core units.
Preschool- Six (6) units of Child Development OR Early Childhood Education core units.
Graduation from high school or General Education Development (GED) Certificate or California High School Proficiency Examination (CHSPE) Certificate;
Completion of forty-eight (48) units of higher education study or obtained an AA degree or successfully passed the Modesto City Schools Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Assessment Exam;
Must have an Associate Teacher Permit or be enrolled in a program leading to an AA degree in Child Development.
