Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION

Under general direction of the afterschool program administrator and lead teacher to plan and implement a specialized program of education and enrichment which relates but is not limited to subjects such as art, music, science, and homework help.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES

• Provide supervision and specialized instruction and enrichment activities in and out of

classrooms

• Plan, provide and direct student with enrichment lessons and activities relating to a

specific subject area or area of visual and performing arts

• Prepare classroom for activities.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Use relevant technology to support instruction.
• Manage student behavior and enforce rules and procedures.
• Record accurate daily attendance.

OTHER DUTIES

Performs related duties similar to the above in scope and function as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of:

• Fundamentals, principles, and theory of the specialized subject.
• Appropriate instructional methodology.
• Objectives of the state-adopted series in a specific subject.

Ability to:
