Job Summary
-Paraprofessional (1) - Behavioral Paraprofessional:
Responsibilities:
-Main focus in behavior interventions and behavioral support
-Commonly working one on one with a student with behavioral challenges. Responsibility to follow the BIP (Behavioral Intervention Plan with Fidelity)
-Must Report to the SPED Director and direct supervisors such as Ed Specialists and School Psychologist
-Behavior intervention, support with initiation of tasks inside the classroom, reinforcing learning concepts, and assisting/modeling life skills (main focus behavior over academic, but can provide academic supports)
-Assisting in behavior management when necessary -must be comfortable with managing a variety of maladaptive behaviors and implementing behavior strategies- includes following Behavior
-Assist students in pull out services (SAI, Speech, OT, PT, APE, etc.)
-Intervention Plans and utilizing ABA strategies with the support and training of Ed. …
