Job Summary
The Instructional Para-Educator’s primary responsibility is to support classroom teachers in delivering effective instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment. Under the direction of the teacher, the Para-Educator assists with the implementation of lessons, classroom activities, and instructional plans.
The Para-Educator works closely with individual students and small groups to reinforce academic concepts, provide additional practice, and support student engagement. This may include assisting students with a range of learning needs, including those who are academically, physically, or developmentally challenged.
In addition, the Para-Educator helps monitor student behavior, supports classroom management strategies, and may assist with preparing instructional materials, organizing classroom resources, and supervising students during various activities throughout the school day.
