Job Summary
Under the direction of an assigned administrator and the supervision of an assigned certificated teacher, the Special Education Instructional Aide I provides instructional support and assistance to teachers and students in mainstream classrooms and designated special education programs. Responsibilities may include supporting students in Mild/Moderate (M/M) Learning Centers, Adapted Physical Education (APE), Inclusion, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, and other specialized educational settings. The position assists in implementing instructional activities, reinforcing student learning and skills, supporting individual student needs, and promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: One-year experience working with children in an educational, childcare, or special education setting is preferred.
