CTE Medical Assistant Clinical Teacher (Adult Programs)

Job Summary

CRY-ROP is seeking a Medical Assistant Clinical Teacher. The Medical Assistant Clinical courses are centered on the language of healthcare through the study of anatomy and physiology, body systems and their interrelationships, advanced medical terminology as applied to diseases, disorders, and medical interventions. Students will learn back-office skills such as taking vitals, recording health histories, preparing patients for examinations, drawing blood, and assisting with minor surgical procedures in simulated laboratory exercises while practicing and learning medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, medical/surgical asepsis, and basic pharmacology. Students will also practice clinical skills and learn topics covering electrocardiography, phlebotomy, hematology, laboratory procedures, diagnostic testing, emergency procedures and the overall well-being of the patient.
