Job Summary
*Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom activities, lessons, centers, art projects, and special activities.
*Actively supervise children at all times in accordance with licensing requirements and school policies.
*Support children during classroom transitions, outdoor play, meals/snacks, rest time, arrival, and dismissal.
*Assist with classroom management and use positive, developmentally appropriate guidance strategies.
*Encourage children's independence, social-emotional development, communication, and appropriate peer interactions.
*Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and safe classroom environment.
*Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, sanitizing materials, and preparing activities.
*Support toileting and bathroom routines as needed while promoting children's independence and maintaining appropriate health and hygiene practices.
*Observe children's needs and immediately communicate concerns regarding behavior, health, safety, or development to the Lead Teacher or Preschool Director.
