Certified Medical Assistant- Floater

Pay Range

$21.85 - $32.80

This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible.

Major Responsibilities

1. Prepares the patient at the onset of the visit

• Measures and records vital signs, height, and weight as necessary.
• Determines patient's chief complaint and records in medical record.
• Asks patient about relevant past medical history and records in the medical record.

2. Assists the physician with procedures and examinations as needed

• Sets up the procedure/exam room with appropriate supplies/equipment. Prepares the patient for exam/procedure.
• Maintains sterile technique and field during sterile procedures. Cleans exam room post patient encounter.
• Properly cleans and disinfects instruments and prepares for sterilization.
• Provides emotional and other clinical support to patient during exam as indicated.

3. Assists the physician in the provision of patient and family education

4. Answers general questions

• Provides instructional materials.
• Responds to patient calls by relaying between the provider and patient. Documents instructions appropriately.
