Job Summary:
The After-School Instructional Aide assists in the implementation of educational and recreational activities for students in the after-school program. This role supports the lead instructors in creating a safe, engaging, and productive environment for students to complete homework, participate in enrichment activities, and build social skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Instructional Support: Assist students with homework and academic tasks. Provide one-on-one and small group guidance to reinforce learning concepts. Help students build effective study skills and habits.
2. Activity Coordination: Plan and prepare materials for learning activities. Lead discussions and facilitate learning experiences. Support students during physical activities, arts and crafts, and other program elements.
3. Student Supervision: Create and maintain a safe, positive environment. Oversee students during arrivals, departures, and transitions between activities. Implement behavior management strategies as directed by the lead instructor.
