Job Summary
The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for an Educational Interpreter - Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Under direction of special education administrative staff, the Educational Interpreter - Deaf and Hard of Hearing provides communication facilitation between students who are deaf or hard of hearing, and others, in an educational setting and for other school-related activities, including extracurricular activities, as designated in a student’s Individualized Educational Program (IEP).
The current assignment is located in Chula Vista, CA as part of the South County SELPA department in the Student Services and Programs division within SDCOE.
Please note that while this current assignment is for the location listed, employees of SDCOE may be administratively reassigned to other locations based on organizational needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires training and experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge and abilities outlined in the linked job description, as well as meeting the certification requirements for employment detailed below.
