Job Summary
The Museum School is seeking a dedicated and versatile Instructional Assistant (IA) to join our collaborative educational team. In the Museum Model, the IA plays a critical role in bridging the gap between high-level project concepts and individual student mastery. You are the "boots on the ground" support that ensures every student has the guidance they need to succeed in our rigorous, inquiry-based environment.
As an Instructional Assistant, your role is fluid and dynamic. You will work closely with lead teachers to facilitate small-group learning, provide one-on-one interventions, and maintain a safe, joyful school culture throughout the day.
Areas of Support & Assignment
Instructional Assistants at The Museum School are strategically placed based on student needs and school goals. Your assignment may focus on one of the following areas:
- Grade-Level Support: Working within a specific grade (e.g., TK/Kindergarten or 3rd Grade) to assist with the daily flow of a self-contained classroom.
- Content-Specific Support (Math): Focusing on numeracy and mathematical reasoning, helping students navigate complex problem-solving and hands-on data projects. …
