Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY
Helps meet physical and instructional needs of individual students with disabilities inside and outside the classroom. Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP), including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of the principal and immediate direction of a certified education specialist.
Classification: Part Time
Reports to: Principal and Education Specialist
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following job duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the position, in addition to any duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time:
INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPORT
Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
Help teachers keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
Assist in implementing Individual Educational Plan (IEP) goals
Effectively communicate and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work. …
