Registered Behavioral Technician

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Education Specialist and Director of Student Services, the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides behavior support services to students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. The RBT works directly with students to support positive behavior, increase access to the general education curriculum, and help implement supports outlined in students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

This role involves working with students whose behaviors impact their educational experience and collaborating with staff to promote a safe and supportive learning environment. The RBT may provide services in Spanish and perform related duties as assigned.

Duties include:
Assist teachers by working with individual students on a one-to-one basis

• 1:1 duties include, but are not limited to

o Implementation of a behavior intervention plan
1:1 instruction delivered in a separate setting

o Implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans

o Implementation or Behavior Crisis Plan and management of behavioral escalation

o Behavior Data Collection

o toileting and hygiene support
o attending to student medical needs
