Job Description / Essential Elements

Purpose Statement:
Under supervision of the site principal or designee, to provide safe and constant
supervision of students during recess/lunch periods and at other times as assigned by the site principal or designee; and to do related work as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge:
Activities and interests of children grades K-5.
Positive reinforcement skills and supportive rapport with children.
Thorough understanding of AEA student discipline policies, practices, and philosophy.
Skills and Ability:
Exercise equity, tact, patience, kindness and positive attitude.
Remain energetic and enthusiastic about children.
Be physically involved in group activities.
Be reliable in attendance and execution of duties.
Follow oral and written instructions.
Establish and maintain friendly, cooperative and effective working relationships
with all persons contacted in the course of work.
