The SDCOE is recruiting to add to the substitute pool of Classroom Assistant-Alternative Education.
Under the general supervision of a school administrator, the Classroom Assistant assists in providing instructional support to individual or small groups of students in assigned subject-matter areas to reinforce classroom lessons in the classroom of a juvenile court or community school; assist a classroom teacher in the supervision of individual or groups of students and perform a variety of related duties in the maintenance of an effective learning environment.
