Substitute Instructional Aide (On-Call)

Job Summary

Administers tests, homework, make-up work, etc., to assist teachers in evaluating students’ progress and/or recognizing the student's individual needs.
Assists teachers in implementing and/or modifying lesson plans.
Confers with teachers, parents, and/or appropriate personnel to assist in evaluating students’ progress and/or implementing students’ objectives.
Implements reading, math, and/or subject-specific programs to meet students' individual needs.

Other Job Functions:

Assists other personnel as may be required to support them in the completion of their work activities.
Maintains students' files, records, etc. to ensure the availability of items as may be required.
Monitors individual students, classroom, library, and /or playground activities to provide a safe and positive learning environment.
Participates in various meetings to share information and/or improve one’s skills/knowledge.
Performs record-keeping and basic clerical functions, such as scheduling, copying, etc., to support the teacher in maintaining student files and providing classroom materials. …
