Job Summary
A Behavior Technician supports the College Elementary School Districts students by reinforcing
instruction and behavior support to individuals or small groups of students, assist in preparing
instructional materials, implementing provisions within Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and
provide routine clerical support.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements
-Understanding of the role of a Behavior Technician. Ability to organize and plan effectively.
-Participate in: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP), Picture
Exchange Communication System (PECS) and SELPA Behavior Aide training.
-Possess knowledge and/or willingness to be trained in specialized health and safety care
procedures and equipment; will be required, as the needs of students dictate, to perform
cardiopulmonary resuscitation, first aid, physical restraint and specialized physical health care
procedures. …
