Under the supervision of the Site Administrator, performs a variety of general cleaning and general housekeeping work at an assigned school; performs specific tasks including heavy cleaning such as stripping waxing and polishing floors; provides assistance in various repairs; assists in relocating classroom/office furniture; assists in maintaining lighting.

During the regular course of work, the Custodian may have access to sensitive information. It is expected that all employees of the Susanville School District will not release any sensitive information regarding students, parents/guardians, or staff.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Modern cleaning methods and the preferred procedures for cleaning and preserving floors, walls, rooms and fixtures; knowledge of: cleaning materials, disinfectants, safety precautions for cleaning bodily fluid spills, and equipment used in custodial work; common tools and their uses; safe work methods. Use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency. Perform manual labor; understand and carry out oral and written directions. Maintain cooperative relationships with coworkers. …
