JOB SUMMARY (Library)
Under the general supervision of the site principal, the para-educator II librarian works independently to perform a wide variety of clerical and library services for faculty and students. Supervises students and volunteers. Maintains the library and its collection.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of high school library practices and techniques. Ability to work with students in a constructive manner, work cooperatively with staff members. The ideal candidate would have strong computer skills including ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues, and basic website management. Familiarity with Chromebooks is a plus. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have the ability to guide students in academic research practices. Must pass District Instructional Assistant exam or have earned an AA degree. Must be flexible and able to work independently with minimum supervision. CPR and First Aid certificate required within six months. Must also complete a post offer/pre- placement exam (POPP), fingerprint and TB clearances. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. …
