The Color Guard Director is responsible for leading and developing the Color Guard program as part of the Thunder by Knight (TBK) performing arts program. The Director will work closely with the Music Director and other TBK staff to prepare students for football games, competitions, parades, school performances, and other events throughout the year.
Responsibilities:
Teach color guard fundamentals, including flag technique, movement, dance, and performance skills, while choreographing and cleaning routines for field shows and other performances;
Lead rehearsals and prepare students for football games, competitions, parades, school performances, and other TBK events;
Develop student confidence, performance quality, teamwork, and professionalism while maintaining a positive and productive rehearsal environment;
Promote student safety and assist with the organization and care of flags, costumes, and other Color Guard equipment;
